I’m back home after a lovely relaxing few weeks in the sun celebrating our anniversary. All those blue skies and long warm afternoons spent in the hazy sunshine have inspired me to look at a slightly off-beat colour story today. I thought I’d share with you the beautiful and refined colour palette of Peach and Cobalt Blue. I adore the softness of the peach and blush tones against the bold, zingy blue hues. They work together beautifully and will most certainly add a touch of refined glamour, dreamy decadence and spirited romance to your day.
The key to master this colour scheme is to use predominantly all peach, blush and cream tones and add only a hint of that dazzling cobalt blue. The romance and softness of this delicate colour story needs mixing up with the unexpected blue to keep it modern and edgy, but remember less is more. A great way to introduce the blue hue would be through your flowers by selecting a couple of different blooms to drop into your bouquet or table displays. You can also use different shades of blue to tie the whole look together as this bride has done below with these gorgeous pale blue/ grey shoes. They look stunning with the antique lace blush coloured gown. You could then perhaps introduce stronger tones of blue in your bouquet or wear some sapphire earrings to complete the look.
Don’t you just love the soft blush tones in the stunning peony and rose bouquet and floral urn above? The light green foliage in the urn display really helps to add texture and depth to the peach colour scheme.
A great way to add that hit of blue would be via your bridesmaids. The stunning Jonathan Saunders dip dye dress below has your spectrum of blues covered and would look so pretty as a backdrop to some lovely peach and blush bouquets!
So who fancies floating through their day in an exquisite blush lace dress, sipping peach martinis and dancing the night away in an elegant ballroom below the soft twinkle of chandelier drops – I do!!
Love, Mrs White x
